Community Advocate Support Line – CASL

Manjeet has been a part-time lawyer with the Community Advocate Support Line (“CASL”) at CLAS since December 2022. Through CASL, Manjeet provides support and legal advice to community-based legal advocates around BC on various poverty law issues, including housing, welfare, debt, and employment.

Manjeet joined the non-profit sector in 2003, after becoming a lawyer in 2000 and practicing in the areas of family, wills and estates, and personal injury law. She worked at the LawLINE operated by Legal Aid BC until 2010 and has continued working and volunteering in the non-profit sector since then. She has broad experience in social justice law and is dedicated to helping make the law accessible to everyone.

Manjeet obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from UBC and was called to the Bar in 2000.
