David is a lawyer with the Mental Health Law Program. He represents people who have been involuntarily detained under the Mental Health Act as well as people who are under the jurisdiction of the BC Review Board.

David joined CLAS in 2025. Prior to joining CLAS, David worked at First United Legal Advocacy, providing support to low income and vulnerable individuals for residential tenancy, disability and income assistance issues.

David received his law degree with Specializations in Aboriginal Law and Environmental Law from the University of British Columbia. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2023. David currently balances his law practice with his practices in visual art and dentistry.
