Community Legal Advocate Supervision Program
Katherine is a lawyer in the Community Legal Advocate Supervision Program (CLASP). She practices in the areas of housing security, income security, Aboriginal law, civil law, workers’ rights, as well as debt and consumer law, among others. Katherine has represented clients at provincial and federal courts as well as various administrative tribunals.
Prior to joining CLAS, Katherine worked at a Toronto immigration and refugee law firm wherein she represented individuals with precarious immigration status as result of complex inadmissibility and ineligibility issues. At several non-profit legal organizations in B.C. and Nova Scotia, she assisted low-income and marginalized individuals in assessing their legal options and litigating a wide variety of matters. Katherine earned her Juris Doctor as well as an Aboriginal and Indigenous Law Specialization Certificate from the Schulich School of Law in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
