Miguel Méndez
Miguel holds a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s in Family Therapy, and recently completed a two-year psychology program at Langara College. Originally from Mexico City, he is dedicated to supporting older adults and vulnerable communities in Canada.
As Senior Peer Support Coordinator and Trainer for The Jewish Seniors Alliance, Miguel leads and trains volunteers, building effective support networks. He also coordinates the Peer Support program at the West End Seniors’ Network (WESN). Additionally, he leads bi-weekly mental health discussions at The Gathering Place and offers online therapy through Psycolocity, a platform he founded to provide accessible mental health support across Latin America. Miguel joined the Community Legal Assistance Society (CLAS) board in 2023.
